Android developers set Blinkenlights world record

Phandroid.com reports the even of Google Developer Day that took place in Germany. There are many even, introduction and business transaction from many developers suchas game and application developer there. Phandorid.com said that one of the coolest things about the open nature of the Android platform is the amount of support the Android Team gives to developers around the globe. The sort of international engagement we’re talking about is highlighted in a recent post on the Android Developers Blog detailing some of the many global events the Android Team has been involved in with mobile developers. From Droidcon UK and Google Developer Days in Germany to events all over South America, Android has been making a serious presence known.

Beside reported that Android platform has been all over the world which including developers, Phandroid.com also talked about a group of 72 Android developers got together to set a blinkenlights world record using the Blinkendroid app. What exactly does that entail? Blinkendroid allows a singular image or animation to be displayed across many screens, turning each small display into part of a much larger one

Blinkendroid is a self organized Android phone cluster with nearest neighbour awareness. The developers are @mrschtief, @keyboardsurfer, @derdima, @schildbach Tags: Blinkenlights, DroidCon, dedroid, multiple device

Besided Phandroid.com, Androidcommunity.com also talking about Android Developers Set World Record for Blinkenlights on their website yesterday 14 January 2011. Androidcommunity.com said What does that even mean, you might ask? It means that they all downloaded the app that’d allow one giant image to cross all of their screens, creating one giant screen, at once! This is the biggest matrix of mobile phone in the history of the world. Would you like to beat them? You can! All you’ve got to do is download the Blinkendroid app from the Android Marketplace on more than 72 Android phones, make the matrix work, and bam! You’ll be in the Guinness Book of World Records. Sounds pretty prestigious.

Revenue sharing is one of the solutions used to be taken by telecommunication companies to reduce the cost of telecommunication infrastructures. Telecommunication companies could do revenue sharing with manufactures (vendors) and application developer (Content Provider- CP). Competition on telecommunication business is very tight. Telecommunication companies should have brilliant idea and attractive innovation while they plan to launch a telecommunication product and service. Poor innovation on the product and service will produce poor response from mobile telecommunication subscribers. In others word, they will lose on such tight competition.

Beside, idea and innovation on telecommunication product and service, telecommunication companies also need to consider how they will invest the telecommunication infrastructure to support many telecommunication services. Revenue sharing will reduce the cost they should invest to deploy telecommunication infrastructure and faster while launch the telecommunication service. Revenue sharing used to happen on the telecommunication service which utilized application developer such Value Added Service (VAS) such as BREW service, Ring Back Tone (RBT) service, download content service e.g. ringtone, wallpaper, game etc.

Telecommunication companies will split the revenue to the three parties who involve on this telecommunication service. The percentage of revenue sharing is depending on the agreement between telecommunication companies and three parties. Telecommunication companies should receive higher than three parties involved and could be more than 50% such as on Ring Back Tone (RBT) service

The more benefit of revenue sharing is telecommunication companies used to did not maintain the telecommunication infrastructures which involved directly to the service. Usually, three parties managed directly to the telecommunication system. Revenue sharing is really giving more benefits to the telecommunication companies
