Google to discontinue Nexus One: Vodafone and KT still offer, T-Mobile may not

Nexus one is a new Googleâ€™s revolution of smartphone which were introduced to beat iPhone. Unfortunately a bad news comes from Google it self where they will officially discontinue in-house sales of its Nexus One smartphone. Google will discontinue Nexus One once a final shipment it received last week sells out. One of the reason is due the sale number of Googleâ€™s Nexus were dismal. Meanwhile the competitor, Apple with their product iPhone sells 1 million Apple. At the same time Google only sell 135,000. HTC is the last Android manufactures which received the order. However customer will still able to buy Google Nexus One in Europe that Google partner such as Vodafone and KT in Korea. Even though Google Nexus One has been discontinued, Google will still continue to provide customer support for current subscriber who already bought Google Nexus One

It is different with Vodafone in Europe and KT in Korea which will still offer Google Nexus One even though Google will discontinue it, T-Mobile may not offer Google Nexus One in Stores. As we know that T-Mobile offers many Android phones to their customers such as HTC, Samsung Vibrant and myTouch 3G. Google Nexus One seems will never available in T-Mobileâ€™s stores any more after Google confirmed will discontinue Nexus One

Even Google has poor sale on Nexus One and seems it is the reason why they plan to discontinue, however, Google Vice President Andy Rubin countered that the reason Nexus One stopped was not because of sales. Andy Rubin said that there are other factors why they consider it such as there are upcoming phones using the Android operating system that has the capability to rival Nexus One features are coming to the market

Tariff is almost becoming the hot issue while new mobile broadband provider comes with the new mobile broadband service. The next plan is assigning a tariff to each category with attractive and competitive tariff. Tariff competitive to each of categories above will be more effective to produce more mobile broadband subscribers rather than unlimited packages and cheap tariff. New idea in such tariff based on packages will required more effort from mobile broadband providers to grouping each the most visited websites into several groups and assigning cost to each of them.

The new idea of such tariff is also possible to give free of charged to each of categories and giving charged to others visited websites. For example, if mobile broadband subscribers select leisure package than they will be free while accessing to MTV,Itunes, Youtube, Flicker and Amazon. They will be charged in case they access others sites and so on

It was that the pioneer of telecommunication provider will have no significant issue while introducing new telecommunication service; in this case, service from the competitor, as it is the new service and new telecommunication provider. But when your competitors reach up to 10, you should have new idea while introducing telecommunication services to the market. Beside idea on telecommunication and innovation, idea on marketing strategy will lead the successful of the new telecommunication service.

New idea in marketing strategy here mean how telecommunication provider will assign where the best place to introduce the new telecommunication services such as mobile broadband service, value added service (VAS) etc. Assigning the right place to introduce new telecommunication service can drive huge selling at that place, build a good reputation and as the result will drive the significant selling at others place. It is possible that the same service is already provided by the competitor but with the new idea and innovation you are already embedded on the new telecommunication service, you will have high potential to win the competition.

We can implement this new marketing strategy while introducing mobile broadband service. As you know that it is very expensive to have this service and introducing the service at several cities is make sense especially for the new telecommunication provider. And definitely, new idea and innovation should available on this new marketing strategy instead of cheap tariff
